1. Strict Zero-Data-Selling Policy
At CampCutter, your privacy is paramount. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal information (including your phone number, email address, or travel dates) with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties.
Mobile Opt-In Protection: Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
🔒 2. Automated Contact Auto-Purge (GDPR & CCPA Compliant)
We believe in minimal data retention:
- Upon Refund: If you request a refund, your phone number and email are immediately and permanently overwritten with
'PURGED'in our database. - Upon STOP / Unsubscribe: When you reply STOP, your active alerts cease immediately.
- Upon Expiration: Once your trip departure date has passed, or your alert quota is complete, your personal contact information is flagged for automated purging.
3. Information We Collect
We only collect the absolute minimum data required to deliver our service:
- Mobile Phone Number: Solely used to transmit SMS campsite availability notifications via Twilio.
- Email Address (Optional): Used solely to issue a PayPal receipt and enable self-service phone number correction.
- Target Campground & Travel Dates: Stored to filter Recreation.gov cancellation feeds.
